Teflon and Ceramic coating Services

Teflon coating

Our Teflon coating can be applied over:
hard anodized aluminum 3-t
soft anodized aluminum 2-t
chromated aluminum c-t
media-blasted metal b-t

Facts about teflon coating:

  • The corrosion resistance of the combined hard anodized and teflon coating is 3 to 4 times better than that of hard anodized aluminum. A 0.001" thick coating can withstand 200 hours salt spray test ASTM B117.
  • Teflon coated hard anodized surfaces retain their excellent hardness of 40-60 Rockwell C. These surfaces also retain excellent resistance to abrasive wear, 4 times more resilient than hard anodized surfaces.
  • Teflon coatings have excellent lubricity. The coefficient of friction for a Teflon coating can be as low as 0.03 over a wide temperature range: from -360F to +1000F (-220C to +540C).
  • Teflon coatings withstand extremely high compression loads in excess of 150,000 psi, and remain excellent lubricants in high vacuum applications.
  • When Teflon impregnation is performed by immersion, the teflon layer produced will be thinner than a spray-applied teflon, but will still have great surface lubricity.
  • Teflon coatings are compatible with standard hydrocarbon and synthetic lubricants. Unlike other lubricants, they do not "leach out" or accumulate in unloaded areas

Ceramic coating

Our ceramic coating process is second-to-none:

  • We only use fresh ceramic material; ceramic has a short shelf life and will not provide a reliable coating if it is expired.
  • We have the right tools and materials in-house to properly prepare your parts for ceramic coating; improper preparation is the leading cause of failure for ceramic coatings.
  • Ceramic coating is primarily used for high temperature applications. The ceramic we use can withstand operating temperatures of over 1600 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Ceramic coating is a great insulator. For this reason, it is often used on engine components.
  • Due to it's hardness, ceramic coating provides excellent abrasion resistance; because of this, it is often used as a firearm coating.
